Please note that you must pre-register for all classes. Payment is due at the time of registration. Classes are non-refundable. Materials are available for sale at the start of the class.
Private Beginner Workshop
This is for absolute beginners or those who are rusty on the basics.
Knitting is an art form. We will teach you how to cast on, knit, purl, and cast off. This will start you off to enjoying a great hobby that you can do anywhere.

Group Beginner Class
For those who understand the basics (knit, purl, cast on and cast off) or who have completed the beginner class. We will teach you how to read a pattern, how to read yarn labels and we will be using this knowledge to start a simple project.

Length of Class: one 2 hour session
Cost: $25.00 per class plus materials
Beginner Socks: Felted Slippers
Learn how to knit socks using 4 double pointed needles. You will start by casting on, turning the heel, and gusset shaping. We will also discuss decreasing for the toe and using the kitchener stitch to end. All this can be done by using large needles and then when you finish the socks they can be felted to turn them into a pair of slippers. The pattern used is called “Fuzzy Feet”

Circular Socks
This is a new way of doing socks where you no longer need to use those double pointed needles. Knitting socks this way is faster and it will help do away with ladders when going from one needle to another. You should have experience with knitting socks on four double pointed needles before taking this class.

Fake Fair Isle Hat
Have you ever wanted to learn how to knit using the fair isle technic, with two different colours per row and both hands without getting the yarns tangled. Well come to this class and all will be answered, this project is a great gift idea for all occasions.

Length of Class: one two hour session, please note that the ribbing for the hat should be completed before the class.

Thrummed Mittens
These are mittens knitted using fleece roving or thrum. When finished the inside of your mittens are filled with soft cosy thrum which keeps your hands warm from the cold winter weather. You will also be using 4 double pointed needles.

NEW CLASS!!!!
TWO SOCKS AT ONCE
Yes, you can now knit both socks at once. No longer do we have to suffer the one sock syndrome, only one sock completed and the project becoming part of your to do stash! This is done by using the technic using one long circular needle. It would be helpful if you know how to knit socks this way, but not necessary. Knowledge of knitting socks on DPN is important.

Knitting Lace
Have you ever wanted to knit lace but thought it was too difficult? Join us for this fun workshop and learn how to knit a lace scarf! You will learn how to read knitting charts and the different symbols found on one.
